Accommodation Booking Terms

1. About these Terms

These Terms apply to accommodation-only bookings arranged through SonBouGardens.com by Web Travel Services Ltd.

Please read them before asking us to make a booking. Your quotation and booking confirmation will contain the specific details and price of your accommodation.

2. Who provides your booking services and accommodation

Web Travel Services Ltd (“WTS”, “we”, “us”) acts as travel agent for the accommodation supplier. We handle enquiries, booking requests, customer payments and booking confirmations, and receive commission for arranging bookings.

WTS does not own, operate or manage the accommodation.

The contracting accommodation supplier is:

There are two separate legal relationships:

• WTS provides agency and booking-administration services to you; and
• Menorca Rentals Villas S.L. provides the accommodation under the accommodation contract.

WTS collects deposits and balance payments as agent for Menorca Rentals Villas S.L.

3. How a booking is made

An enquiry, quotation or request to reserve accommodation does not create a confirmed booking.

The usual booking process is:

1. You ask WTS to arrange the accommodation.
2. WTS submits the booking request to Menorca Rentals Villas S.L.
3. The supplier confirms availability to WTS.
4. WTS requests the required deposit or full payment from you.
5. You make the required payment to WTS.
6. WTS issues your booking confirmation.

Your booking becomes definite only when the supplier has confirmed the accommodation, WTS has received the required payment and WTS has issued your booking confirmation.

Please check your confirmation promptly and tell us immediately if any information is incorrect.

4. Prices and payment

Accommodation is priced in euros. Prices include VAT where applicable unless your quotation states otherwise.

WTS normally requires:

• a deposit of 15% of the total accommodation price; and
• the balance eight weeks before the date of travel.

For bookings confirmed within eight weeks of travel, full payment is required when the booking is confirmed.

The eight-week balance date is WTS’s customer payment deadline. It is separate from the supplier’s cancellation periods and does not determine the cancellation charge that applies.

For the 2027 season, WTS accepts most debit and credit cards through a secure Stripe payment link. Payment links are denominated in euros.

WTS does not set a sterling exchange rate. Any currency conversion, foreign-transaction charge or exchange-rate difference applied by your card provider is outside WTS’s control.

If a required payment is not received by its due date, WTS may treat the booking as cancelled after contacting you and allowing a reasonable opportunity to make payment. The applicable supplier cancellation charge may then apply.

5. Changes requested by you

Please send any request to change your booking to WTS in writing.

A change is subject to availability and the supplier’s agreement. It may result in a different accommodation price or another supplier-imposed cost. WTS will explain any known additional cost before making the change.

A requested change is not confirmed until WTS has confirmed it to you in writing.

6. Cancellation by you

You must send a cancellation notice to WTS in writing at sales@sonbouholidays.co.uk.

Cancellation takes effect when WTS receives your notice. WTS will administer the cancellation with Menorca Rentals Villas S.L. as its agent.

The following supplier cancellation charges apply. They are calculated as a percentage of the total accommodation price.

Menorca Rentals Villas S.L. may consider individual circumstances when a customer cancels within 30 days of arrival, but this is entirely discretionary. It does not guarantee a refund or reduction in the stated cancellation charge.

WTS administration charge

Where money is otherwise refundable following a cancellation made by you, WTS will deduct an administration charge equal to 2.5% of the amount otherwise refundable.

This is separate from the supplier cancellation charge. It is calculated on the refundable amount, not on the original booking price.

For example, if the amount otherwise refundable is €1,000, the WTS administration charge will be €25 and the refund will be €975.

If you cancel while only the 15% deposit has been paid, WTS may, at its discretion, allow that deposit to be held as credit towards another date. This depends on availability and the circumstances and is not an automatic contractual entitlement.

7. Changes or cancellation by the supplier

If Menorca Rentals Villas S.L. cannot provide the confirmed accommodation, WTS will work with the supplier to try to offer a suitable alternative.

You do not have to accept a replacement that is materially different from the accommodation booked. If no suitable alternative can be provided or accepted, the accommodation monies you have paid will be refunded.

The WTS 2.5% customer-cancellation administration charge will not apply where the supplier is unable to provide the booked accommodation.

Nothing in these Terms restricts any mandatory legal rights or remedies available to you.

8. Arrival, departure and accommodation services

Check-in is normally from 15:00 and check-out is generally before 10:00. Different arrangements are subject to availability and may involve an additional charge.

Unless your quotation or confirmation states otherwise, the accommodation service normally includes:

• clean bed linen and towels on arrival;
• a towel change once a week, except on stays of fewer than seven nights where no interim service is provided;
• for stays of eight nights or more, a linen and towel change with basic cleaning; and
• routine pool and garden maintenance where applicable.

Additional cleaning, extra linen changes, cots, high chairs, extra beds and similar extras are not included unless expressly stated.

9. Tourist tax

The accommodation price does not include the Balearic Islands Sustainable Tourism Tax.

The tax is payable locally, normally at reception on arrival. The amount is determined under the applicable legislation and may depend on the season, length of stay and number or age of guests.

10. Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is available at the properties, but its performance may be affected by local coverage, demand and technical interruptions.

Neither WTS nor the accommodation supplier can guarantee continuous or uninterrupted internet access. The supplier will take reasonable steps to restore the service where an outage is within its control.

11. Use of the accommodation

You must use the accommodation responsibly and follow reasonable property and community rules.

In particular:

• smoking is not permitted inside the accommodation;
• excessive noise must be avoided, particularly after 22:00;
• children and other minors must be properly supervised, especially around swimming pools;
• rubbish must be placed in the designated containers;
• linen and other property contents must not be removed;
• pets are permitted only in exceptional cases with prior written approval and may attract an additional charge; and
• the number of occupants must not exceed that shown on the booking confirmation without prior approval.

You are responsible for damage or loss caused by you or members of your party through deliberate action, misuse or negligence. You must report material damage promptly.

Serious or repeated breaches of reasonable property rules may result in the supplier taking proportionate action, including requiring occupants to leave where legally justified. This does not affect rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Transfers, car hire and other independent services

Bookings made through SonBouGardens.com are for accommodation only.

WTS does not arrange, book or collect payment for airport transfers, car hire or similar services through this website.

We may provide information about independent providers. If you choose to use one, you make the booking directly with that provider and its own terms and conditions apply. WTS is not a party to that contract.

13. Complaints and problems during your stay

If a problem arises, please report it promptly to the accommodation reception or local representative and contact WTS as soon as reasonably possible.

Prompt reporting gives Menorca Rentals Villas S.L. and WTS an opportunity to investigate and try to resolve the problem while you are in Menorca.

If the matter remains unresolved, please write to WTS after your stay with the relevant details and supporting information.

Failure to report a problem promptly may affect our ability to investigate it, but nothing in this section excludes or restricts your statutory rights.

14. Responsibility

WTS is responsible for providing its agency services with reasonable care and skill and for errors caused by WTS in administering your booking.

Menorca Rentals Villas S.L. is responsible for providing and managing the accommodation under the accommodation contract.

WTS is not responsible for the supplier’s performance of the accommodation contract except where responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded or where loss is caused by WTS’s own acts or omissions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

15. Travel insurance and financial protection

We strongly recommend that you arrange suitable travel insurance covering cancellation, medical treatment and repatriation, personal belongings and other risks relevant to your trip.

WTS does not sell travel insurance and does not provide its own bonding or other financial-protection scheme for accommodation-only bookings.

Depending on the circumstances and the payment method used, you may have rights through your card issuer. Such rights are determined by the applicable law and your card issuer and are not guaranteed or provided by WTS.

16. Passports and travel requirements

You are responsible for ensuring that everyone travelling has the passports, travel documents and permissions required for the journey.

Official entry, health and travel requirements can change. You should check current government guidance before travelling.

17. Privacy

WTS processes personal information in connection with enquiries and bookings as described in the SonBouGardens.com Privacy Policy.

Necessary booking information may be passed to Menorca Rentals Villas S.L. so that the accommodation can be reserved, provided and managed.

18. Governing law and jurisdiction

WTS agency services

The separate agency services provided by Web Travel Services Ltd are governed by the law of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes concerning those agency services. This is subject to any mandatory consumer right you may have to bring or defend proceedings elsewhere.

Accommodation contract

The accommodation contract between you and Menorca Rentals Villas S.L. is governed by Spanish law.

Any dispute arising from or in connection with the accommodation contract will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Spanish courts, in accordance with applicable legislation.

Nothing in this section deprives you of any mandatory consumer protection that applies to you and cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
